about

east coast organics is a collective approach to the process of writing, recording and developing music. it reduces musicians input to bite sized chunks of time, allowing each to take a spotlight, by taking away the idea of rehearsals, each musician has periods of reflection and discussion rather than the sonic overload of the rehearsal room.
In this, some musicians who have collaborated have not actually been in a room together.

scary times is the first recording completed using this process. It aims to capture a time of darkness, perpetrated by a combination of personal and political unrest. Conceived within the uk coalition govt. and continued under the auspices of an austerity drive which seems to continue to take from the poorest in society while the richest remain unaffected. In theme it is both realistic and fantastical, with subject matter arising from metaphor as well as the harshness of the times.

Recorded and conceived at Driftwood Dub Studios, Norfolk.

Vocals, additional guitars, bass and drums recorded at Grange Farm Studios, Emneth, Norfolk.
